Privacy Policy

Application and Developer Information

The KakaVid mobile app, found on Google Play, is subject to this Privacy Policy in full. DEVVVS 0157---the sole creator, owner, and operator of the App---is identified as "Developer," "we," "our," or "us" throughout the text. Whenever these pronouns appear, they refer to the company responsible for KakaVid. If you obtain KakaVid from Google Play, this policy defines the practices regarding the gathering, processing, preservation, and disclosure of your information when you use the App.

Process Summary

  1. Users provide their pictures and pick a preferred style option.
  2. A distinct instance of the stable diffusion model undergoes retraining with this input to deliver a bespoke experience.
  3. Once retraining is finished, the system crafts an avatar according to the customized model.
  4. After the avatar is produced, both the supplied photo and the retrained model copy are irrevocably erased from our servers. Kindly be aware that specific rules govern avatar use---for example, inappropriate imagery or using others' photographs without consent is forbidden.
  5. Your personal data is never applied to broader model training or employed to build other independent AI products.

User-Initiated Cloud Processing

KakaVid delivers certain AI-enhanced editing, improvement, and rendering capabilities through protected cloud infrastructure. Cloud-based handling is performed exclusively when you intentionally choose a feature that necessitates server-end processing.

Upload Trigger

Media such as images, videos, or other assets are sent to our safeguarded servers only upon your active selection of a cloud-dependent function and your explicit confirmation to proceed. KakaVid does not auto-upload your private content, operate in the background, or act without your direct engagement. Whenever an upload is about to occur, the App distinctly indicates that remote processing will be involved.

Data Retention and Deletion

Uploaded assets are kept only for the period required to accomplish the processing you requested. Original files and the derived outputs are automatically and permanently wiped from our systems within 72 hours after processing concludes. DEVVVS 0157 neither stores backup copies of your uploaded media nor employs your data for promotional purposes, AI training, user tracking, or any unrelated activities.

Security

All inbound and outbound transfers are secured using standard TLS encryption technology. Access to uploaded content is limited to automated processing pipelines and the essential infrastructure needed to carry out the requested functions.

Information We Collect

  1. Platform Activity Data
We may collect information about your interactions with our Platforms. This covers your navigation habits, button clicks, content downloads, shared assets, video editing activities, and any other data you furnish as you use our offerings. This information assists us in delivering the Platform's capabilities to you.
  2. Device and Log Data
To maintain stable and secure functionality, optimize user experience, support promotional and notification services, and protect your account safety, we gather certain device and log particulars when you use our Platforms. These include: unique device ID, GAID, handset model, system language setting, region, ad identifier, OS and version, IP address, app version, connection type, signal strength metrics, and usage logs.
  3. Feedback and Support Data
Whenever you reach out to us for help or to offer opinions, we gather the information and files you submit, along with your contact information (including phone and email). This allows us to respond appropriately and provide the necessary assistance.
  4. Face Recognition Information
When you make use of facial editing or synthesis tools, we automatically detect the locations and shapes of your facial landmarks to analyze the required information for photo manipulation. The resulting images are then sent back to you. We do not store these photos, videos, facial data, or resultant outputs, nor do we pass them to any third parties. This process is carried out purely to enable the face recognition functionality and to improve your resulting media. Should your editing involve another person's facial attributes, you are responsible for notifying that individual and securing their approval.
  5. Cloud-Based Processing
To enable quick and accurate image or video handling, we may temporarily upload your media or related labels to a cloud server for effect application. These uploads are used exclusively for the specific operation you request. We do not keep the media, labels, or related information longer than is needed, nor do we apply them to other purposes or disclose them to others.

Device Permissions

To offer you improved offerings, responsive assistance, and an enhanced overall experience, we may seek particular permissions on your device whenever we introduce extra functionalities. Subject to your agreement and guided by the policy of limiting data collection to what is strictly essential, we may obtain the permissions listed below and the related data:

  1. Read/Write External Storage Permission -- Used to read from and write to your device's external memory card for video editing purposes.
  2. Camera Permission -- Allows you to take photos and record videos within the app.
  3. Network Access Permission -- Enables various online services, such as accessing and downloading materials.

The data linked to these permissions is treated as confidential. If you refuse a permission, it will only hinder your use of the specific functionality that calls for it; your access to all other app features will not be compromised. You can always check your current permission settings through the system preferences on your device. You have full discretion to activate or deactivate any or all of these permissions as you see fit.

It is important to note that once you allow a permission, you are giving us consent to collect and process the associated personal information exclusively for the provision of the relevant service. Should you later disable a permission, this acts as a reversal or revocation of your earlier consent, and we will stop gathering or utilizing personal data under that permission from that time onward. Nevertheless, turning off a permission will not affect any data collection or usage that occurred before the disablement.

Cookies and Similar Data Technologies

As is common with most online services, we make use of cookies, clear GIFs, and related technologies. Cookies are compact data pieces stored on your hard disk or in your device's memory. They preserve information regarding your activity within our services, facilitating functions like identity confirmation, recall of your choices and settings, tracking of visitor data and behavioral patterns, assessment of promotional campaign outcomes, and support for social features. Clear GIFs are miniature software markers placed on sites or within messages, which assist us in monitoring your interaction with that content.

By default, most browsers are configured to accept cookies. You have the option to change your browser settings to block or erase cookies if you choose. Nevertheless, be aware that such adjustments may influence the availability and operation of our services.

We employ external analytics services to track traffic volumes and usage behaviors across our services. These services collect information sent from your device or our systems, such as the pages you visit, tools you utilize, and other data that aids in enhancing our products. This analytical information is aggregated with similar data from other individuals in a way that does not reasonably identify any particular person.

We partner with external advertising firms to present advertisements on websites and other media. To gauge the success of these ads and determine payments to these partners, we integrate third-party code into our apps. We may also include such code to gain a better understanding of user engagement with our services.
